Care staff in Glastonbury are celebrating after scooping four of six awards at a Company Awards lunch.

Candlelight Care runs an annual 'Candlelight Care Awards' programme for its staff, with nominations made by colleagues and clients. The awards lunch took place at Wincanton Racecourse this week, and staff based at the Glastonbury branch in King Street won four of the six awards on offer. The winners were Tom Wilkinson (Best Newcomer), Nicky Diment (Dignity in Care, voted for by clients), Millie Bailey (Unsung Hero), and Sarah Perry (Senior Care Professional).

James Catley-Day, Managing Director of Candlelight Care, said, "After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, it was wonderful to hold the Candlelight Care Awards again this year and celebrate the achievements of our wonderful staff. We were delighted that Rupert Cox agreed to be our host, and we thank him for his excellent presentations. We also celebrated the long service of many more staff, whose unfailing commitment over many years enables us to provide clients with continuity from familiar faces. We are grateful to them all."

Candlelight Care is a family-run company offering homecare and live-in care services in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and East Sussex. With a Head Office in Glastonbury, Somerset, it has been caring for people of all ages in their own homes for over 30 years and its services are rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission.
