Glastonbury care workers named finalists in national company awards

Care workers based in Glastonbury are in the spotlight after being named as finalists in their company's annual awards scheme.
Candlelight Homecare runs the 'Outstanding Achievement Awards' each year to recognise the efforts of its team, with nominations made by colleagues and clients.
This year, three Glastonbury-based staff – Helen Haberfield, Elli Halford and Stephanie Webb – are among the finalists, alongside seven members of the 'Discharge to Assess' (D2A) team: Pamellah Siyawareva, Siobhan King, Rebecca Eades, Amy Barlow, Stephanie Williams, Alison Willis, and Darren Middleton.
Six colleagues from the 'Candlelight 24' live-in care team – Deborah McFadyen, Jenny Khahlu, Debbie Dombreck, Patricia Lee, Florence Mapanga Marshall, and Saziso Ncube – have also been shortlisted, as well as Rachel Burton and Lisa Knight from the Glastonbury-based head office.
Winners will be announced at an awards lunch in Charlton Musgrove next month, where four additional staff members will be honoured for their combined long service of more than 80 years.
James Catley-Day, Managing Director of Candlelight Homecare, said, "We are delighted to once again celebrate the remarkable achievements and extraordinary dedication of special individuals within the Candlelight Homecare family. Our Outstanding Achievement Awards are in their eighth year, and with the challenges facing social care it has never been more important to thank our staff for the work they do."
