Glastonbury area roadworks for week commencing August 24

Sub Road in Butleigh is scheduled to be closed for three days next week for roadworks.

The road is set to be closed from the junction with Reynald's Way to the junction with Quarry Lane, between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Wednesday (August 26) to Friday (August 28).

The closure is due to be in place to enable Utility Services Ltd to carry out poling works on behalf of BT Openreach.

On the same days in Butleigh, parapet repairs are scheduled to be undertaken by Somerset Highways in Back Town.

Other roadworks in the Glastonbury area that are scheduled to take place next week include:

From Tuesday (August 25) to Thursday (August 27), Wessex Water are set to being doing an urgent dig down to retrieve CCTV equipment while checking for a sewer blockage in the area of Northload Bridge, Glastonbury.

Wessex Water's urgent sewer repair work in Northload Street, Glastonbury, is due to be completed on Monday (August 24).

Also finishing on Monday should be Bristol Water's work in St Edmund's Road, Glastonbury.

Finally, Western Power Distribution's work to repair a cable fault on the A361 Bere Lane, Glastonbury, is scheduled to be completed by 8pm on Tuesday.
