Whether you're scrolling from the sofa or actively dodging the Jobcentre, there's a decent haul of local roles to poke through this week.

Some require qualifications, others just require showing up on time and not scaring the customers. Let's dive in.

The care-home kitchen scene is buzzing: a Head Chef is wanted in Glastonbury, leading meals and hygiene standards with a full brigade behind you. If you're more into ad-hoc shifts, there's a Relief Chef temp role covering kitchens as needed, or a more stable permanent version if you like your apron with benefits.

Up the road, Brewers Fayre in Glastonbury is after a Grill Chef — it's pub grub, fast-paced, and probably comes with your weight in chips.

In education, Millfield School has a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role, ideal if you're patient and not fazed by glitter glue emergencies. There's also a MFL Teacher job on a temp contract for those fluent in French, Spanish or both, and a Lecturer role supporting young adults on work placements, with a bit of maths and English thrown in.

Back in boots and boilersuits land, the field-based Lead Water Treatment Engineer job is still up — well paid, mileage covered, and guaranteed to make you the most interesting person at any plumbing-themed quiz night. Or start a bit lower down the pipework as a Plumbing Engineer with progression to water treatment.

Need something more indoorsy? The Stock Condition Team Leader role involves managing housing data and surveys — clipboard not provided. Over in care, Southlawns in Street is hiring a Team Leader to support residents and oversee shifts.

Finally, spreadsheet heroes take note: the BI Developer / Dynamics / Reporting contract job is still listed, likely hybrid, and not short on acronyms.

Need night shifts? A Warehouse Operative role in Street has you covered — pick, pack, stack and hope the radio's decent.

Still not spotted your next gig? There are plenty more jobs where these came from — head to glastonbury.nub.news/jobs to browse or post your own.
