Free meal today for the homeless or lonely in Glastonbury

By Tim Lethaby 16th Jul 2021

A free festive meal is being offered to the homeless or lonely in Glastonbury today (December 29).

The Lords of the WildWood Festive Feast is being held from 3pm to 6pm today at the Assembly Rooms.

Being organised by the Lords of the WildWood Community Tea Rooms, this Christmas dinner is a festive meal for all who need a little Christmas cheer this year, and there is funding for 100 community meals.

The funding has come from the Somerset Community Foundation and GoFundMe donations from Glastonbury residents.

Donations have also been received from Triba Mythica, Fantasy Forest, Shield Maiden, Knight's Fish and Chips, Burns the Bread, Abbots Leigh Hotel and The Lady of the Silver Wheel.

Anyone who is interested in receiving the meal is urged to arrive early to make sure they get one of the 100 dinners on offer.
