Former Glastonbury player Jos Buttler has received an MBE in the Queen's New Year Honours list following his heroics in helping England win the Cricket World Cup.

Buttler, who played at Glastonbury as a teenager, received the honour alongside three other members of the Cricket World Cup winning squad - Captain Eoin Morgan receives a CBE, Ben Stokes is appointed an OBE and Joe Root also receives an MBE.

Wicketkeeper and batsman Buttler broke the stumps to seal England's World Cup victory on home soil back in the summer (see red button below), and he has received his MBE for services to cricket. He grew up in Wedmore and now lives in London.
