Free fitness classes, coffee and burgers as BLAST Training Club prepares to open in Street this Sunday
By Blast Training Club 20th Oct 2026
A new fitness club in Street will hold an open day on Sunday, 25 October, ahead of launching its regular timetable next month.
BLAST Training Club, at Rockhaven Business Centre on Gravenchon Way, will be open to visitors from 10am to 4pm.
The business has been set up by Somerset locals Josh Johnson and George Whitcher. It combines coached group exercise, a personal training area and a coffee bar.
Josh has more than 18 years' experience in the fitness industry, including working with professional athletes and people rebuilding their strength and mobility. George has trained for more than a decade and competed in Ironman endurance events.
The founders say they want the club to cater for people with different levels of fitness and experience. Visitors to the open day will be able to meet the team, look around and try a free workout.
People can also visit without taking part in a class. Food will be available from the STAKD burger van, with drinks and refreshments served at the club's Brewed by BLAST coffee bar.
The regular class programme is due to begin on Monday, 2 November.
