Former Glastonbury player Jos Buttler scored a century as England drew their tour warm up match against New Zealand A.

Buttler scored 110 in his side's 405, in response to the hosts' 302-6 declared, but New Zealand A held out for a draw by reaching 169-8 at the close of play.

On the BBC's Test Match Special, Buttler said: "It was really nice for me. Spending that time in the middle going into a Test series is great. It gives you confidence.

"It's not a massive coincidence that when I've had time away from cricket and been able to refresh that I play well then.

"New Zealand will be a massive challenge. They are an excellent side and it should be a really exciting series."

England will face New Zealand in two Test matches, with the first one starting on Wednesday in Tauranga.
