Date: 24.04.2019Time: 20:43Location: Somerton Field Road, SomertonOne fire appliance from Somerton, one from Glastonbury and one from Martock along with the Water Carrier from Yeovil and the Environmental Protection Unit from Taunton were all sent to a report of a fire at the above location.On arrival crews confirmed that the incident involved a portable accommodation unit measuring 8 metres x 3 metres and a lorry.   The accommodation unit was 100% destroyed by fire and the lorry was 80% damaged.  To extinguish the fire crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 attack jets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 compressed air foam branch, a thermal image camera and small tools.    The cause of the fire is being investigated.
