As the weekend approaches, Street and Glastonbury are set to host a variety of events, promising entertainment and community spirit for all.

Sponsored by the King Arthur in Benedict Street - Glastonbury's top live music venue, this article and newsletter bring you the best of what's on.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday, 1st December, is the Red Hot Jazz Club at the Red Brick Building in Glastonbury, where The Neil Burns Quintet and Steve Waterman promise a spectacular night of live jazz, and get ready to party with Ushti Baba at The King Arthur, for an epic night of live music and good vibes!

On Saturday, 2nd December, the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms will be alive with the Nik Turner Memorial Bash, honouring the legacy of the legendary musician with an array of bands from 6.30 pm to 1 am.

The same day, Cheddar Gorge will see the thrilling Charity Santa Abseil in aid of St Margaret's Hospice. An adventurous way to contribute to a good cause, this event promises excitement against the backdrop of one of Britain's most spectacular natural landmarks.

Also on Saturday, Street will transform into a festive haven with their Christmas market. From 11 am to 4 pm, visitors can enjoy a variety of stalls, live entertainment, and seasonal refreshments, creating a perfect setting for holiday shopping and merry-making. Stall reservations are high in demand following last year's success.

Saturday evening sees a musical treat with 'Unknown Identity' performing at the King William Inn, and a Christmas Party at West Pennard Village Hall, ensuring a lively night. Simultaneously, Lewis Poole will be captivating audiences at The King Arthur.

'Your Body Never Lies Playshop' at the Goddess House offers an insightful session from 1 pm, while Fanny's Roving Folk Club at the Zig Zag Building presents a folky afternoon. The day concludes with the Godney Carol Service at the Glastonbury Wedding & Events Venue.

This weekend in Street and Glastonbury is not just about entertainment; it's about community and coming together to celebrate the spirit of the season.
