Derelict Building Fire at Market Place, Glastonbury

Date: 04.07.2018Time: 06:55Location: Market Place, GlastonburyDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of public stating that the door of a property was on fire at the above location.

Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Glastonbury, one from Street, one from Wells and an Operational Assurance Officer.

On arrival crews confirmed that there had been a fire in the doorway of this derelict property that was out on arrival of the Fire Service.

Crews made entry to the property using a Makita Saw and carried out an internal search of the property to ensure there was no further fire spread.

The Police were requested to attend as this was believed to be deliberate ignition.
