Cyclist dies after crash with van on A39 between Glastonbury and Wells

A cyclist in his 60s has died after a collision with a van on A39 near Wells on April 8.

A cyclist has died after a crash involving a van near Wells.

The man, who was in his 60s, was fatally injured in a collision on the A39 at Polsham shortly before 5pm on Tuesday evening (April 8).

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts remain with them during this incredibly difficult time. They are being offered the support of a specialist family liaison officer.

"We are asking for anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch. If you can help, please contact us."
