Eleven Year 10 students from St Dunstan's School in Glastonbury attended the Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards for creative writing on Tuesday (May 24) after being shortlisted for the prestigious award.

The ceremony was held in Wells Cathedral, and first prize in the Key Stage 4 category was awarded to St Dunstan's student Heidi Davies.

St Dunstan's head of English, Karen Gregory, said, "Even though still a child, Anne Frank's writing was sophisticated and powerful. Her ability to keep her ideals and values, in spite of such adversity still resonates today. St Dunstan's talent was recognised and we were thrilled to find that first prize went to our very own, Heidi Davies."
