Clarks Village has officially released plans to give its Apple Court outdoor shopping mall a fresh look.

The makeover is set to include new landscaping, street furniture, atmospheric lighting, and welcome signage, with the addition of new planters and pots.

The renovation has commenced and is mainly carried out after business hours to ensure minimal disruption. All stores will remain operational throughout the duration of the work. The newly-transformed Apple Court is expected to be revealed to the public by December 2023.

The redevelopment is in line with Clarks Village's ongoing commitment to enriching the guest experience. Over the last three years, the shopping outlet has invested £3m in various upgrades, including new landscaping, a terrace and pathways in its Central Square Gardens, as well as new branding, signage, and wayfinding facilities. The venue also underwent significant refurbishments to its toilet facilities, new storefronts, roofing upgrades, and back-of-house areas. This is in addition to an increased focus on staff training and skills development.

Situated in Street and conveniently located less than 25 minutes from both the M5 and A303, Clarks Village boasts a wide range of over 90 stores offering up to 60% off RRP on items from designer brands to high-street favourites. In addition to the retail experience, guests can also take their pick from a variety of restaurants, cafes and grab-and-go outlets, as well as a large adventure play park for families.

In a seasonal touch, the Clarks Village festive ice rink will be returning for its second year starting Thursday, November 9 and will remain open until Sunday, January 7, adding to the ultimate Christmas shopping experience.

Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, said: "We're really excited about our plans to transform Apple Court. Once finished, there will be a completely new feel to the area, making it an inviting place to shop and spend time in. This is yet another significant investment we're making in the outlet for our guests with further exciting announcements on the horizon. Whether it's new stores and refurbishments, our festive ice rink or regular events, there is always a reason to visit Clarks Village."
