Car completely destroyed in fire along Sharpham Drove

A car has been completed destroyed by fire along Sharpham Drove in Glastonbury.

The fire service was called out at just before 11 am this morning (July 15) to reports of a car alight in a field.

Two crews from Glastonbury and one crew from Street attended. On arrival the crews confirmed that the vehicle was well alight.The crews used an attack jet, two breathing apparatus, one thermal imaging camera and a wildfire unit to extinguish the fire.

The fire destroyed the vehicle.
