Plans have been announced to create a new pump track in Street, providing a safe space for people of all ages to ride bikes, scooters and skateboards.

A pump track is a purpose-built circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden without pedalling, using a pumping motion to maintain speed. Suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike, pump tracks can help improve balance, bike handling skills and fitness.

The group behind the project say they hope to create a world-class facility capable of hosting national and international events, while also providing an inclusive space for local residents to use every day.

They are now appealing for ideas and support from the community, with organisers keen to hear from anyone who can help with the design, fundraising, or planning of the track.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We believe this could be a fantastic addition to Street, giving people a safe and accessible space to develop their skills, meet like-minded people and spend time outdoors.

"It's an opportunity for the community to come together and create something that will benefit residents for years to come."

Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to follow the group's social media pages and share their ideas.
