Bill’s restaurant looks set to open at Clarks Village in Street
Bill's, the popular British restaurant and bar chain, is preparing to open a new location at Clarks Village in Street. The chain, known for its welcoming atmosphere and eclectic menu, is set to take over Unit 37b, previously occupied by Frankie and Benny's.
In preparation for the opening, Bill's Restaurants Limited has submitted a premises licence application to Somerset Council, covering the sale of alcohol, late-night refreshments, and recorded music. If approved, the new Bill's location will be able to serve alcohol from 10:00 AM until midnight, with late-night refreshments and music allowed until 12:30 AM. The restaurant's opening hours are set to be 8:00 AM to 12:30 AM daily.
Bill's was founded in 2001 by Bill Collison, who started with a small greengrocery shop in Lewes, East Sussex. After a flood devastated the shop, Collison added a café, which eventually grew into the Bill's restaurant chain we know today.
The new Bill's location at Clarks Village is expected to bring the brand's signature blend of comfort food, locally sourced produce, and vibrant interiors to Street. Bill's offers a wide range of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a takeaway and 'click and collect' service, which the company launched to meet the growing demand for home deliveries.
Recruitment is already underway, with Bill's advertising for an Assistant general manager, head chef and sous chef to lead the new restaurant. The move is another positive development for Clarks Village, adding to the dining options available at the popular shopping destination.
Bill's is known for offering a cosy and relaxed dining experience, making it a favourite for everything from casual meals to special celebrations. With the licensing process in motion and preparations underway, locals can look forward to the arrival of Bill's in Street soon.
