Bikers roar through Glastonbury in charity ride for air ambulance

Glastonbury will echo to the sound of revving engines this weekend as motorcyclists take to the roads for a huge charity ride-out.
The mass ride leaves Tor Leisure at 10.30am on Sunday 24 August, with bikers uniting to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Locals are being warned to expect short delays as groups of riders cruise through the county. High-vis marshals will be dotted along the route, stopping traffic for a few minutes at a time so the convoys can pass safely.
Organisers have urged road users to show patience — and respect. "Our role is to keep everyone safe, not to cause inconvenience," they said.
The ride and RITS fun day at Tor Leisure has already banked more than £109,000 for the air ambulance, thanks to the generosity of the public.
This year, they're hoping to smash that total once again.
