Police are appealing for information following an assault in Glastonbury, where a man in his 70s was attacked in broad daylight.

The incident occurred on Magdalene Street on Wednesday, 26 June, at around 2.45pm. The suspect, described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 6ft tall with a slim build and short, fair hair, approached the elderly man and pushed him before attempting to punch him.

The attacker was seen wearing beige shorts and was topless at the time of the incident. He was earlier spotted in a grey T-shirt.

The victim did not suffer any physical injuries but was left understandably shaken by the ordeal.

Police are now asking for the public's help to identify the suspect. If you were in the area at the time or recognise the individual described, please contact the authorities.

If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5224165780, or complete the online appeals form.
