Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses and information after teenage Sea Cadets taking part in the Mayor's Parade in Glastonbury were subjected to abuse by protesters.

It happened on Sunday 2 June between midday and 12.30pm, near St Benedict's Church, Benedict Street.

One 13-year-old boy's family reported the incident the next day. He told officers that protesters opposing 5G swore and used a term considered offensive towards people with learning disabilities. The incident is being investigated as a public order offence.

Anyone with any information which could help the investigation is asked to get in touch through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5219123539
