Animal rescue at Shapwick

Date: 19.08.2019Time: 20:12Location: Shapwick, GlastonburyOne fire appliance from Glastonbury and the special rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to a cow stuck in a water filled ditch. Crews arrived on scene and requested the 4x4 vehicle from Glastonbury to assist with access.

Crews rescued the cow with assistance from a local farmer using a tractor and lines. Lighting and scene safety equipment was also used. Duty of care was left with the farmer.
