With Glastonbury Festival season upon us, the seminal kids TV show Hey Duggee is the latest to shine a spotlight on all things Glastonbury with a new episode that honours two things synonymous with Glastonbury - the summer solstice and festivals.

Debuting just in time for Glastonbury Festival in June, in 'The Carrot Badge', the Rabbits are gearing up for the Carrot Solstice, a day when the sun is at its highest and they gather around Carrot Henge to celebrate their favourite vegetable.

But who will look after the carrots with the Rabbits busy preparing for the festivities? The Squirrels step in, leaving the Rabbits free to celebrate. However, disaster strikes when Worm munches through part of Carrot Henge. Will Duggee manage to fix it in time, or will the Carrot Solstice be ruined?

Liz Randall, Hey Duggee Executive Producer at BBC Studios, said: "We are very proud and thrilled to present this special new episode of Hey Duggee just after the Summer Solstice and alongside Glastonbury Festival. This is such a fun way for parents to introduce these events to their children and for fans to celebrate the summer with Duggee and the Squirrels!"

'The Carrot Badge' is the first of 20 brand-new episodes from the 5th Series of the beloved show, produced by Studio AKA with BBC Studios Kids & Family and CBeebies.

More episodes from Series 5 will be available on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer later this year.

Created by Grant Orchard, Hey Duggee is known for its fun adventures, imagination, gentle humour, and learning through play. Narrated by comedian and presenter Alexander Armstrong, the episode also features voices by Sander Jones, Lucy Montgomery, and Adam Longworth.

Since its launch in 2014, Hey Duggee has become a seven-time BAFTA and international Emmy award-winning hit. The series has been streamed 1.36 billion times on BBC iPlayer and has amassed over 3 billion views on its official YouTube channel.
