Main Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapist at The Levels School, you will be working under the direction of the Head of Therapy, and alongside other Occupational and Speech and Language Therapists, the SENCo and classroom teachers in delivering social skills sessions, direct and indirect therapy.We are seeking an innovative Occupational Therapist(s) to join our existing dynamic Therapy Team consisting of 2 other Occupational Therapists and 4 Speech and Language Therapists. The successful candidate(s) will need to be motivated and enthusiastic. You will be joining a committed and dedicated team that has high expectations for students and work hard to ensure they achieve their maximum outcomes. You will be an integral member of The Levels School team.You will need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist ideally with experience of SEND.As part of your role, you will be responsible for delivering the weekly therapy sessions for children on your caseload, running social skills groups, attending annual reviews, carrying out assessments and writing reports.The Levels Therapy is the latest addition to the Levels School. The Levels Therapy services aim to provide therapy services across a wide range of therapy disciplines within both an educational and private setting. It is widely acknowledged that SEN support is a growing national requirement for students to achieve their full potential. The Levels Therapy has been established to extend our offering beyond our own students at The Levels School. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the team completing outreach work in local independent schools and FE colleges.The role of Occupational Therapist is currently offered as either a full-time or part-time, permanent basis. We are looking to appoint a flexible, adaptable, and dedicated individual with experience in working with pupils with SpLD and some SEMH difficulties as a result of their barriers to learning.Following an induction and training programme, your duties will include: Managing your caseload of students in order to deliver the therapy as stipulated in their EHCP's and consultation documents. To carry out an assessment of students attending the school and to implement intervention programmes using knowledge from both theoretical and practical experience.
