Origins of Blodeuwedd. An illustrated talk by Sheila Broun MA, Hierophant in the Fellowship of Isis.
Blodeuwedd, ancient Spirit/Goddess of the Cymri - who, the DNA Survey of the British Isles shows, are Britons dating back to the Ice Age - had Her story changed in the 12th century to that of a mortal, adulterous woman, by two Christian Sorcerers - who are both described as men who baptise, and cast spells. This illustrated talk will explore Her origins and context as a powerful Spirit/Goddess of Thunder, Lightening, and Healing.
