Workshop: Cuttlefish Casting with Jacky Oliver

Somerset Rural Life Museum

UNTIL Saturday 1st October

Cuttlefish Casting

Join artist and metalworker Jacky Oliver for this introduction to the technique of casting using pewter in a cuttlefish bone.

This simple technique allows participants a great introduction to the potential of metalwork and casting.

You will draw directly into the cuttlefish bone to create a mould for the metal to be poured into. Your final piece can be taken home.

The session provides a suitable introduction for those with no metal casting experience. It could also give those with prior experience the opportunity to develop new ideas creatively.
