Turkish belly dance classes with Nazreen in Glastonbury

Weekly Turkish belly dance classes with Nazreen begin on Tuesday 16 September at the Assembly Rooms, High Street, Glastonbury, running from 7pm to 8pm.

The sessions combine art and exercise in a low-impact workout that strengthens, tones and improves flexibility. Absolute beginners and improvers are welcome, with no age limit or fitness requirements.

Nazreen, trained in ballet and modern dance, draws mainly on the flamboyant Turkish style while incorporating moves from Egypt and the wider Middle East. Classes include a gentle warm-up, step-by-step instruction, and insights into the history, culture and costumes of belly dancing.

Drop-in classes cost £10, or £50 for a full six-week term booked in advance.
