The last Summer Open Evening was held in 2019 and as we've had a few years off from celebrating the start of Summer we've decided to extend opening and host a Summer Open Day in 2022, rather than just the evening.

So on May 28th, 2022 we will open the abbey at midday and close at 9.30pm. Last entry is at 8.45pm. There will be have a go activities (Axe throwing and more!), a market, a range of food stalls, a bar and a stage featuring high quality live music. FREE ENTRY!

The entire site (with some small exceptions) will be open for the day completely free of charge. As we move into the evening the further parts of the site will be closed off to the public for safety reasons but the entertainment will continue until 9pm.

There is no ticket required and no registration required, however we may restrict entrance in the evening based on the size of the crowd. Please follow all guidance while on site. No unaccompanied children will be permitted on site. Children are to be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.
