Glastonbury Fire Station is hosting a special recruitment evening this Thursday — and they're looking for local people to join the crew.

The drop-in event will give potential on-call firefighters the chance to meet the team, explore the station and fire engines, and find out exactly what the role involves. No experience is needed — just a good level of fitness, a positive attitude, and a willingness to respond to emergency callouts while going about your day job or home life.

The team is particularly keen to hear from people who can offer daytime availability and live or work within five minutes of the station.
