Clarks Village is set to be transformed into a doggy wonderland for its Pawsome Pooch event next weekend.  

Hosted on Saturday 7^th September and Sunday 8^th September from 11am-4pm, the Somerset shopping outlet will be offering free dog photo shoots, pup pampering, have-a-go agility sessions, trick displays – and more – as it celebrates being dog friendly.  

At the heart of the event is the hunt for Clarks Village's new CEO – Canine Executive Officer – in its canine-casting photography competition. Free photo shoots will be held by the event's professional pet photographers with judges choosing a shortlist of entries to go before a public vote. As well as being awarded the role of the outlet's official canine consultant, the winner will receive a prize package worth £500 as well as VIP invites to Clarks Village events. All entries will also receive a free digital picture from their photo shoot.  

While pre-bookable photo shoots have already been snapped up, guests can enter by finding the Clarks Village 'pup-arazzi' photographer for a free walk-up snap session during the weekend.  

At the event Clarks Village is hosting a pooch pamper pod offering free mini spruce-ups from Kelly Davis' expert team – winner of BBC's Pooch Perfect. The walk-up grooming sessions include nail trims, a spritz of doggy cologne and top advice on grooming. In addition, Passion for Pets will be demonstrating amazing dog tricks and hosting sessions for owners and their pups to pick up new tricks while illustrator Alan Snow will be offering live pooch paw-traits. Donations for sketches will go to Pawsome Pooch's charity partner, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.  

 Meanwhile, across on the Arthur Gillett Trust Lawns – adjacent to the outlet's restaurant terrace – Clarks Village will host a dog agility course catering to all skill levels. Sessions are free but must be prebooked in advance via the Clarks Village website.
