Final homes available for a Christmas move at Glastonbury's Avalon development

With only six properties remaining, Avalon offers a final opportunity for homebuyers aiming for a new start this Christmas.

Those considering a move to a new home in Glastonbury may want to act quickly, as only six properties remain at the Avalon development.

Some of these homes are set to be completed in time for the festive season.

Tracey Ball, regional sales director for Elan Homes, stated: "If a new home tops your Christmas wish list, our Glastonbury development is your grotto as we have three homes that will be Santa ready. The good news for those with a house to sell is that we're offering the gift of our Easy Move scheme to help them wrap up the sale so they can buy a new home. The seller does no need to try to find an agent to market their existing property as we'll value it for them before instructing independent estate agents to market it. When an acceptable offer is received, they'll be able to reserve a new Elan home. Contracts on the two properties will be exchanged simultaneously and we'll even pay the agent's fees."

Among the homes that could be ready for new owners by Christmas are the three-bedroom semi-detached Fenwick, with prices starting at £285,000, and the four-bedroom detached Broughton, available from £465,000.

The Avalon development features various modern home designs. The Fenwick, for instance, includes an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a lounge at the front of the house and a family bathroom upstairs, along with an en-suite in the main bedroom. The Broughton offers a more extensive floor plan, including a utility room, a study and all double bedrooms, two of which have en-suites.

For those planning a move in 2024, there's also the three-bedroom detached Russett Special, starting at £380,000, which offers flexible living spaces adaptable to different needs.

Elan Homes has confirmed that all properties at Avalon have a minimum Energy Performance Certificate rating of B, making them eligible for green mortgages from selected lenders.
