A fresh group of customers will benefit from a scheme under the new management of Homes in Sedgemoor.

Aspen Court in Bridgwater is a project that will now be overseen by HiS on behalf of Aspen Housing & Development Ltd, currently owned by Somerset Council.

Income Team Leader and Project Manager for Aspen Court, Ian said: "I am very excited to be leading this project where we will bring our extensive experience and high performance in housing management to a new group of customers on behalf of Aspen Housing & Development."

The project at Aspen Court will reinforce the new Somerset Council following the Local Government Reorganisation to manage homes held outside of the Housing Revenue Account.

The scheme meets our corporate objective to provide great services to our customers and to have a better commercial mindset when new opportunities arise, as highlighted in our Corporate Strategy 2020 - 2023.

Director of Communities and Customer Service, Claire said: "Homes in Sedgemoor is really pleased to be extending their management portfolio into a commercial opportunity providing housing management services on behalf of Aspen Housing Development Ltd.

"We see this as the start of a bright new offer for our customer focussed services across Somerset."

Aspen Court is a block of 36 flats on Wembdon Road, Bridgwater that was built in 1990 for residents over 55 years. 10 of the flats have been sold to leaseholders. The 26 tenanted properties are let on a private rental basis called assured shorthold tenancies, which is very different to the current social secure tenancies our existing customers have as council tenants.

We will be providing you with further updates on our social media and website as the project develops over the coming months.
