Children's World is excited to announce their May Day Festive Special on May 1st at Paddington Farm, Glastonbury.

The Children's World's December Festive Special was a huge success and Glastonbury Town Council has generously funded this follow-up community event, full of brilliant performances and seasonal craft.

Glastonbury tour guide Tor Webster has won the 2020 Unsung Hero of Tourism award, after being nominated by Jasmin Cottage B&B in the Bath, Bristol and Somerset Tourism Awards.

Outdoor hospitality will be among those reopening in Glastonbury today (April 12) as planned easements to the coronavirus restrictions go ahead.

Significant parts of the indoor economy and further outdoor settings will reopen from today, after data confirmed the government's "four tests" for easing Covid restrictions had been met.

A new cafe is set to have its grand opening in Glastonbury tomorrow (April 12) as coronavirus lockdown restrictions are eased.

Coffee and Cake will be opening in the Gauntlet shopping precinct, with some special first day offers.

Following the sad news yesterday (April 9) that His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has passed away, Glastonbury's MP James Heappey has paid tribute to him.

Mr Heappey said: "The death of His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, is a moment of great sadness for our country, as well as a personal moment of sorrow for Her Majesty the Queen.

Glastonbury residents should make sure that they are registered to votes ahead of ballots on May 6.

Voters were due to go to the polls in a matter of weeks to vote for who would represent them on Somerset County Council for the next four years.

The Eastern Somerset Councils of Mendip and South Somerset are working collaboratively to launch a week full of business support activity to help businesses grow through the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Recover, Restart and Grow programme is now live, and will kick off on Monday March 15. Aimed at local businesses, the week is open to everyone who is seeking to get insights, intelligence and a mix of support, ideas and connections to help grow their business.
