Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a bedroom fire at the above location.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed smoke issuing from the first floor window and crews got to work with breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, safety jets to extinguish the fire. The crew promptly extinguished the fire.

Location: Main Street, Walton, Street.

The Fire Service were called to a report of a road traffic collision with persons still within the vehicle. Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Street, one fire appliance and the rescue tender from Glastonbury to this incident.

Once all persons are now free and clear from vehicles, 2 casualties are being conveyed to hospital via land ambulance. 3 casualties have now been released from vehicles by fire service personnel and are in care of on scene ambulance personnel.

Location: Polsham, Wells

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from Avon and Somerset Police reporting a Road Traffic Collision with persons trapped at the above location.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that a single vehicle had been involved in a road traffic collision, and one male of approximately 30 years old was still inside the vehicle and semi conscious.

Location: The Causeway, Mark, Highbridge, Somerset

The fire service were called to assist other agencies with a vehicle that had collided with a stone wall and one male casualty was trapped within the vehicle.
Two crews from Burnham on Sea, the rescue tender from Glastonbury and the rescue tender from Taunton attended.
The crews stabilised the vehicle and worked alongside ambulance personnel to release the casualty using a spinal board.

Location: Stawell Road, Stawell near Bridgwater

Crews from Street, Glastonbury as well as specialist rescue teams from Barnstaple and a tele-handler from Urban Search and Rescue based at Clyst St. George attended a report of a horse stuck in a water filled ditch.

Crews rescued the horse using harness and the tele-handler to lift. The horse was left in the hands of the owner and a vet was also in attendance.
