A farm in Baltonsborough has been told by Mendip District Council that it can construct a new silage area.

A planning application for prior notification of agricultural development, for excavation works and construction of a silage clamp area for the storage of winter forage for the dairy herd at Briars Farm, Back Lane, Baltonsborough, was submitted by George Winstone.

SWASFT representatives and fire service personnel at an event in July attended by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to celebrate the  partnership.

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is pleased to begin a new partnership with fire services in the region to boost its coronavirus emergency response this winter.

The mutual aid project, which first ran from April to August, will see fire personnel from Cornwall, Devon & Somerset, Avon and Gloucestershire fire and rescue services supporting the Trust from Sunday 1 November for four months.
