Glastonbury firefighters helped to free a woman from a car following a crash on the B3151 heading out of Street yesterday evening (July 22).
Just after 5.30pm, fire crews from Street and Glastonbury arrived on the scene along with the police and ambulance services.

Just before 2.30pm, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue control received a call reporting a pony stuck in a water-filled rhyne in Wedmore.

Plans for a new unitary council in Somerset have taken a step forward following approval from Local Government Secretary Robert Jenrick.

Glastonbury building contractors Melhuish and Saunders have started a joint project with Marpool Primary School in in Exmouth, to build a bespoke 'resource base' to cater to children who face challenges in mainstream education.
The project to construct the Avocet Learning Trust Resource Base is now underway, and will replace the temporary buildings currently on site.

Avon and Somerset Police are seeking witnesses to the single vehicle collision which happened on Monday (July 19) near Glastonbury just before 4pm.
A white Audi, travelling from Middle Drove on to Watchwell Drove in the direction of Butleigh, left the road and collided with a tree.
