Bristol Water has revealed plans and a route for a new five-mile main that it would like to lay to protect Glastonbury's water supply.

A planning application to Request a Screening Opinion for the installation of approximately 7.85km of new 400mm diameter water main pipeline between the A371 near Wells and Glastonbury, has been submitted by the company to Mendip District Council.

Glastonbury pizza lovers will soon be able to enjoy a slice of Papa John's after plans for a new outlet in the town were approved.

A planning application for the change of use of the ground floor area from currently vacant bookmakers (Sui Generis) to a hot food takeaway (Sui Generis) and associated works at 17 Market Place, Glastonbury, had been submitted to Mendip District Council by Aman Virk on behalf of Papa John's (GB) Ltd.

St John's Church in Glastonbury has a team of volunteers, called Welcomers, who enable the building to be open to the community and visitors to our town, many of whom come from around the world, every day of the week.
