What's on in Street and Glastonbury: Heroquest, live music and Easter Eggs!

It's Thursday so it's time for a round-up of all the events occurring in your area over the weekend and into the coming week - and don't forget the schools are breaking up for the Easter holidays on Friday.

So read on for not to be missed outings this week - but remember: these are just a few of the events that have caught our attention - there's loads more going on out there in your community.

The Geeky Gamer, a cafe and gaming club in Street, who also sell a range of paints, miniatures and board games - and there's always something going on.

Each weekend, the shop holds games of Heroquests - an easy, fantasy based boardgame that's great for younger gamers. The sessions take place at 11am on both Saturday and Sunday and there will be people on hand to help out if you've never played before. To book your spot, call 07551 022478.

The Barefoot Bandit

The Barefoot Bandit

The Barefoot Bandit are a heavy-weight ensemble based in the South-West, UK. The band mixes various musical styles, incorporating elements of reggae, punk rock, dub and world music.

They're playing the Red Brick Building on Saturday 1st April from 8pm.

Tickets £8 in advance or £10 on the door.

Glastonbury Abbey Easter Holiday Events

Decorate an Easter Egg - Tuesday 4th April 2023,

When: 11am to 1pm

Get crafty with a recycled polystyrene egg, use a mixture of felt pens and crayons to create a colourful background then get creative with our craft items and create a character. Learn some great skills so you can decorate some more eggs at home. This is a family activity so all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.

Paper Spring Daffodils - Thursday 6th April 2023

When: 11am to 1pm

The daffodils in the grounds are bursting into bloom so join us for this family activity on Thursday 6th April from 11.00am-1.00pm to create your own bunch of 3D paper daffodils.

This is a family activity so all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.
