Good morning, and welcome to your weekly what's on in Glastonbury and Street.

Every Thursday we round up all the eye-catching events in your area over the weekend and this week we've added in events taking place during the half-term holiday.

Valentine's Weekend - Clarks Village, Street

Clarks Village is set to host a special Valentine's weekend event for guests with market stalls, live music and a floral selfie swing this weekend (Saturday 11th - Sunday 12th February).

Held in the shopping outlet's stunning landscaped gardens, the event will see a mix of artisan market stalls from independent retailers. The Valentine's market stalls will sell a mix of hand-made and locally-sourced products including crafts, crystals, flowers, gin, bespoke metalwork, dog treats and gourmet waffles.

Clarks Village will also be installing a florally-decorated selfie swing for guests to enjoy and capture a memorable moment together along with free Valentine's themed colouring for families and a Lindt 'guess the hearts in a jar' competition. To help set the scene for Valentine's Day, Southwest performer Chloe Marie Aston will be singing throughout the weekend.

The Valentine's event at Clarks Village will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday, 11th February, and 11am-5pm on Sunday, 12th February, in the outlet's Central Square Gardens.

Based on: the novel 'A Man Called Ove' by Fredrik Backman, A Man Called Otto tells the story of Otto Anderson, a grumpy widower whose only joy comes from criticising and judging his exasperated neighbours. When a lively young family moves in next door, he meets his match in quick-witted and very pregnant Marisol, leading to an unexpected friendship that will turn his world upside-down.

Stage: Topaz Dance Studios presents HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR

It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. 

Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Strings, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson, his sound resides where these influences meet.

Snowdrop Celebrations at the Bishop's Palace, Wells

Visitors can collect a printed Snowdrop Walk to guide them around the moat banks carpeted with spectacular snowdrops, and across the Willow Bridge to enjoy an Arboretum full of snowdrops of several varieties. Plus each weekend little ones can pick up a children's trail from the Palace Ticket Office with the reward of a small prize upon completion.

Admission: Entry is included with any standard admission including The People's Ticket and Membership. You can buy an admission ticket online or at the Ticket Office on your arrival.

Half term at Glastonbury Abbey

Monday 13th February 2023 - make your own bird feeder, 11am to 1pm, Abbey Museum

In the abbey museum on Monday 13th February from 11.00am-1.00pm for a messy fun session creating fruit strings, fruit hoops and peanut butter tubes for garden birds. Winter is a difficult time for birds - they need to find food for energy and build fat stores to keep warm through long nights. Create your own feeder to give them a helping hand! 

 This is a family activity so an adult must accompany all children throughout the session.

(If you have a nut allergy, please note that they will be using peanut butter in one of the activities.)

Included in admission, no need to book. 

Friday 17th February 2023 - make your own apple bird feeder, 11am to 1pm, Abbey Museum

You don't need to look very far to find amazing wildlife in the abbey grounds and at home in your garden.

On Friday 17th February from 11.00am-1.00pm join in with this messy, fun session making an apple feeder for the garden birds. You will be using an apple, windfall sticks from the grounds, sunflower seeds and hemp string.

This is a family activity so all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.

Included in admission, no need to book.
