Glastonbury has unveiled a new emblem designed to reflect the town's rich heritage and diverse spirit.

But as the town prepares to launch this new symbol, the big question is: what do you think?

The emblem, revealed at the August meeting of Glastonbury Town Council, was crafted by local designer Matt Witt, in collaboration with Town Clerk Conor Ogilvie-Davidson. It's intended to capture the essence of Glastonbury, encompassing its religious history, industrial heritage, myths, legends, and natural landscape. But with something as personal as a town's identity, everyone's bound to have an opinion.

Witt described the design process as both challenging and rewarding, aiming to create a symbol that resonates with both locals and visitors. "As we know, Glastonbury means a lot of different things to different people," Witt said. "We're going to create an emblem that represents the different facets of both the population and the visitors to the town."

The emblem, featuring 19 icons that represent various aspects of Glastonbury, will be used across promotional materials and potentially even in merchandise. But what matters most is how it resonates with you—the people who live, work, and visit here.

Glastonbury's heritage is deeply personal to its residents, and symbols like this emblem play a significant role in how the town presents itself to the world. Does this new emblem capture what Glastonbury means to you? Does it reflect the town's spirit in the way you see it?
