Big news for Glastonbury – FordHaven CIC has teamed up with our local Scouts to breathe new life into the 4th Glastonbury Scout Hall.

This isn't just a lick of paint job; it's a full-on mission to turn the hall into a hub of community and youth activity that's been a bit neglected lately.

The place has been struggling, especially without proper heating, making it a no-go in the colder months. That's about to change. FordHaven CIC, along with the Scouts, are rolling up their sleeves to get a new heating system in, spruce the place up with some decorating, and even fit a new kitchen.

There are plans to fit a new kitchen into the hall.
It's all hands on deck to raise £9,000 to cover everything. The breakdown's pretty simple: £8,000 for the heating, £300 for the paint and brushes, and £700 for the kitchen bits.

But it's not just about the money. FordHaven is organising tabletop sales, coffee mornings, and quiz nights. These aren't just fundraisers; they're a way to bring us all together, have a bit of fun, and chip in for a good cause.

It's more than fixing up a building; it's about creating a space where our kids, and all of us, can come together, learn, and have fun.

The hall has seen generations of children get involved in the community.

This hall's going to be a place where memories are made, all while keeping the cold at bay.

So, how can you help? Every little bit counts, whether it's donating a few quid to the crowdfunder, spreading the word, or popping by one of the events. Donate now at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fordhavencic.
