Both of those involved in the late crash in Dinder were taken to hospital, and thought to be fairly seriously injured, according to the Ambulance Service media service.

One of those involved in the crash at Long Street was taken by land ambulance to hospital, after being treated at the scene, the other was airlifted.

The ambulance service have confirmed that they sent a

land ambulance crew, the air ambulance crew and other specialist paramedics to the scene last night.

The crews treated two patients at the scene. They conveyed one of the patients to hospital by air ambulance and the other by land ambulance.

The accident involved two vehicles in what the fire service called a high speed collision at Long Street in Dinder at ten o'clock last night.

At least one person was trapped inside each vehicle and so fire engines from Wells and Shepton Mallet and a Heavy Rescue Tender from Glastonbury were quickly mobilised. The injured were both cut free from the vehicles using additional cutting equipment mobilised from Glastonbury.
