Two men have been arrested in Glastonbury this lunchtime (May 3) after the police dispersed an anti-lockdown protest.

The two who have been arrested have been taken into custody, while three further people were given fixed penalty notices, all under coronavirus legislation.

The Market Place has now been cleared. The police had earlier warned that they would take action against anyone breaking lockdown restrictions, saying that the public health emergency takes precedence over the right to protest.
