Two arrested after Glastonbury drug raid

Two men have been arrested in connection with supplying drugs in the Glastonbury area following a police raid.

Avon and Somerset Police searched the house in Monmouth Close on November 15 and after a search which found Class A drugs and cash, two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.

Both men have been released under investigation and police enquiries continue.

A police spokesman said: "Our officers continue to work hard to gather information and carry out operations to tackle the supply of drugs in our communities.

"Warrants such as these demonstrate our continued commitment to protecting our communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs; we will continue to take enforcement action against those suspected of being involved in this type of crime.
