A Street family business has launched a new kiosk at Clarks Village, bringing Bubble Tea to shoppers.

The Bubble T kiosk opened yesterday and will be a permanent fixture located in the Central Gardens at Clarks Village.

What is Bubble Tea?

Bubble tea - also known as Boba - is a tea-based drink that originates from Taiwan. The name 'bubble tea' originally came from the frothy bubbles that form when the drink is shaken to mix the tea, milk and flavourings together

It is made by blending tea with milk, fruit and fruit juices, then adding tapioca pearls and shaking vigorously.

Depending on the base and toppings you choose, bubble tea taste can vary widely. The most popular bubble tea drink is a classic milk tea (black tea, milk, sweetener, and pearls) which tastes sweet, creamy, and silky because of the milk, and has a nice chewy texture because of the tapioca pearls.

The independent brand will arrive at the outlet with a variety of offerings, from traditional milk tea with tapioca pearls, to adventurous fruit tea flavours mixed with tasty popping 'boba'. With a range of combinations to choose from, the freshly made drinks are completely customisable, with every drink made to order.

Thank you also to Councillor Laura Wolfers who introduced us to the shopping outlet. We simply cannot wait to serve our first customer."

Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, said: "We are delighted to welcome the local independent brand Bubble T to Clarks Village. We know that its unique and completely customisable drinks range will further enhance our offerings at the outlet, and we are sure that the new kiosk will prove to be a big hit with our guests."

Guests can also indulge and get their hands on some locally produced 'Pops!', the gourmet salted caramel popcorn treat, with each bag finished off with a dash of delicious sea salt.
