The Wizard of Oz pantomime graces Strode Theatre from December 21 to December 31, 2025

Families can expect festive magic this December as The Wizard of Oz lands on stage for a Christmas pantomime run at Strode Theatre in Street.

The show opens on Sunday, 21 December 2025, and runs until New Year's Eve, with tickets priced from £13.50 to £19.50. A family deal for two adults and two children is available at £57 (standard) or £65 (premium).

The production puts a pantomime twist on the classic tale, following Dorothy and her friends down the yellow brick road in a colourful, family-friendly adaptation.

The 11:30 performance on Sunday, 28 December will be a Relaxed Performance, with lights up in the auditorium, reduced sound and effects, and free audience movement. The 4pm performance the same day will be BSL interpreted.

The show is directed by Dean Brammall, assisted by George Oliver, with choreography by Brammall and Lucy Nicholson. Music direction is by Phoebe Petrov. The script is written by Josh Coley.
