Street's Clarks Village named UK's most dog‑friendly shopping centre for a second year after winning the DogFriendly Awards 2025

Clarks Village in Street has been named the UK's most dog‑friendly shopping centre for the second consecutive year.

The Somerset outlet secured the title at the DogFriendly Awards 2025 following a public vote, and retained its maximum five‑paw rating.

Dogs are welcomed across the centre's more than 90 stores, along with water‑bowl stations outdoors and pet‑friendly menus at participating eateries. Well‑behaved dogs are permitted inside venues including The Cornish Bakery, Caffè Nero, Costa and Bill's, and can relax in outdoor dining spaces at brands such as Wagamama and Pret A Manger.

The award was presented to Archie, a one‑year‑old golden miniature dachshund named "Canine Executive Officer" of Clarks Village following a photo competition during the centre's annual "Pawsome Pooch" weekend. His human owners Beth and Adam collected the accolade with centre director Chris Davis, who said the win was "a real treat… we're proud that members of the public have voted for us".

It is good that it is dog friendly but it is a shame that dog owners can't control their dogs when they are in Clarks village. So much time I can't walk around Clarks village because of the dogs on long dog lane and not watching they dogs. Hearing there was a dog bite on the village last weekend.
