St Dunstan's School in Glastonbury celebrated International Women's Day with a special after school event.

Students were invited to return to school from 3.30pm to 5.30pm with female relatives or friends for activities, tea, coffee and cake.

More than 80 people took part in the activity sessions, which included art, drama, games, dance, engineering (rocket launching/building), science (DNA Extraction), mathematical mocktails and 'musical mayhem'.

Karen Gregory, Head of English, Media, Drama and Music said it was a 'fabulous afternoon!'.

The school thanked all the mums, carers, grans, aunties, sisters, family helpers and students who participated and helped to create such a positive buzz of collaboration and confidence building.

This is the second year that St Dunstan's has marked International Women's Day with a celebratory event of this kind.
