Students at St Dunstan's School in Glastonbury are celebrating a great set of GCSE results.
This year students were prevented from being able to take their GCSE exams due to Covid-19, instead they have received centre-assessed grades, based on their work in school up to March.
Among the successes were Sam Budd who achieved 10 grade 8 and 9s, Emily Morley who achieved 9 grade 8 and 9s and Natasha Hodge who achieved 7 grade 8 and 9s.
In addition Emily Wills, Megan Curtis, Theo Townsend and Leila Sparks achieved on average more than two grades above their expected outcomes.
Head teacher Keith Howard said: "I am very pleased that Year 11 have achieved the grades they worked so hard towards, it has been the most difficult of circumstances, with Year 11 not being able to take their exams or enjoy the rights of passage including their prom and end of school celebrations.
"We wish them all well for the future and hope to see them for a belated prom later in the year if restrictions allow. Well done Year 11."
St Dunstan's School, like many other schools, will be running a Virtual Open Evening this year which will be available online later in September.
