Somerton is gearing up for its highly anticipated Music and Arts Festival this July.

The festival, scheduled from 4th to 14th July, promises an opening night to remember with Fleetwood Bac set to perform at St Michael's Church, culminating in the eagerly awaited Somerstock, a two-day music fest brimming with entertainment.

In the run-up to the main event, art enthusiasts can enjoy the regular Arts Exhibition starting 25th May at the Parish Room.

Somerstock, the highlight of Somerton's festival season, is poised to offer a family-friendly experience in Somerset's scenic heart.

The festival is thrilled to announce Shakatak, the renowned jazz-funk sensation, as the 2024 headline act. Festival-goers can look forward to a blend of live music, on-site parking, and camping options, all set on the outskirts of Somerton town.

The festival kicks off on Friday, 12th July, featuring an array of live performances, and continues into Saturday, 13th July, with non-stop music from 1.00pm until 11.15pm. The Charlie Miller Band, known for their infectious dance and soul tunes, headlines Friday's segment, supported by local and regional talents including Twisted Vinyl and Florence & The Bare Souls.

Saturday boasts a lineup of over ten live acts across two outdoor stages and a big top marquee, with Shakatak taking the prime slot. Attendees will also enjoy performances by Matt Owens, Harri Pick, and a host of others, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

Beyond the music, the festival features children's activities, a range of retail and food stalls, and bars. A silent disco will offer unique entertainment with live DJs, including a special session for children on Saturday.

With a variety of ticket options available, including a value family ticket with free entry for children under 12, early booking is recommended for the best deals.
