'Freedom from anxiety' to 'Tapas on a budget' – new adult courses coming to Strode College this September

Whether you're keen to get creative, learn a new skill, or just fancy swapping the school run for some grown-up time, Strode College has something for you this September — and it could be free.
The college is relaunching its adult short courses with 16 brand-new options on offer, from "Freedom from Anxiety" and "Rebuilding from Depression" to "A Taste of Tapas" and "Trash to Treasure" eco-upcycling.
To give locals a chance to try before they commit, a meet the tutor event is being held on Thursday 12 June from 5.30pm to 8pm, where you can meet tutors, explore the campus and find the right course for you.
The full line-up includes everything from Adobe Illustrator and jewellery making to sketch booking, crochet, and digital skills for everyday life.
Organisers say the courses are designed to help people boost their confidence, pick up workplace-ready skills, support wellbeing, or simply try something new — with many eligible to sign up for free.
You could qualify if you're over 19, live in England, and either earn under £25,000 or are currently unemployed.
